The current model of the Kindle is still sold out. You can buy used (some are new) Kindles from ‘other sellers’ on Amazon.com, starting around $400. The note from Amazon says the Kindle is expected to ship in 6 – 8 weeks. Of course, this will likely be the Kindle 2.0. Best to continue waiting for now if you haven’t bought one yet.
